similarities:

  1. page #s include on the upper right corner
  2. citations on the last page 
  3. doubled space throughout the writing
  4. page #s or authors' names are cited after quotes
  5. heading center for work cites
MLA:
  1. heading are on the upper left corner
  2. last name is put next to the page #s
  3. title in the center after the heading
  4. no signal phrase
  5. title can be used if the author is unknown
APA:
  1. title is on the upper left corner
  2. heading is in the center after the title
  3. limited 120 words or fewer
  4. don't use quotation marks, (last name of the author, year, page #)
  5. author referred to by last name
  6. need an abstract
